For this final league game of the the 2010/11 rugby season Yarnbury had to get out their strongest side possible to combat the threat from an inform Leos side from Alwoodley who had managed to put together six consecutive wins after an indifferent season.Although ,it did not match Yarnbury's mid season wins it meant a committed game to end the season with nothing at stake.Yarnbury were secure in fourth spot with sixteen wins and Leos with only 14 before this match.

Yarnbury drafted in colt Alec Crowther on the wing with Graham Maycock moving to centre and experienced Wayne Butterfield in the second row and colt Jimmy Cryan continuing in the back row after an impressive go-forward display at Skipton.

Yarnbury were into a stiff breeze in the first half but did well to work the ball up the field in the first 5 minutes for the backs to move quick ball left and good hands from Graham maycock put Chris Flowers in at the corner for The Horsforth side.Fly half Lawrence Smith missing the extra's.

Leos hit back in 13 mins with a try from centre Will Levitt converted by stand off James Henry who increased Leos lead with a penalty before half time.

Into the breeze it wsLeos who took control through stand off James Henry and increased their lkead with two tries by back rows Ed Connell and Dave Bardon both from line outs close in mauling over the line from catch and drives.Yarnbury were exerting their own pressure with lively stand in stand off Lawrence Smith trying to move forward but their most penetrative back Jason Avieson was forced off with a persistent ankle injury after a typically line breaking run.Daniel Pound coming on at full back and Andy Greaves moving up.Yarnbury hit back to narrow the scores with tries from second row Ina maycock from a catch and drive from a 5 metre line out and brother Graham Maycock scoring from a Jimmy Cryan charge down but on this occasion Leos held out and scored the final points with a Dave Bardon touch down bringing to an end a successfull season for Yarnbury who remain fourth in the league and top of the local Leeds clubs with sixteen wins.
